OpenSubmission checklist
Most delays come from missing material. Having these ready before you submit is the quickest way to a certificate.
- Access to the build in a test environment
- Par sheet or mathematical model, with RTP calculations
- Game rules, help screens and paytable artwork
- RNG description: source, seeding and scaling
- Critical file list with hash signatures
- Release notes and version identifiers
- Target jurisdictions and any RTP variants
- Existing certificates and test reports, if any
- Integration specification, for platform work
- A named technical contact on your side
Not every item applies to every product. Tell us what you are submitting and we will confirm exactly what we need.
The terms, explained plainly.
- RTP (return to player)
- The share of all money wagered that a game is designed to pay back to players over the long run. A 96% RTP game returns, on average, 96 of every 100 staked.
- RNG (random number generator)
- The software or hardware that produces the unpredictable numbers used to decide game outcomes. Every result rests on it.
- Par sheet
- The document that describes a game's mathematical model: reel strips, symbol weights, pay table, probabilities and theoretical RTP.
- Hit frequency and volatility
- Hit frequency is how often a round wins anything. Volatility is how widely results swing around the RTP from one session to the next.
- Critical files
- The components that affect outcomes or regulated behaviour. They are listed so that any change to them can be detected.
- Hash signature
- A fingerprint calculated from a file. If one byte changes, the signature changes, which proves the live build is the certified build.
- Master and clone
- A master game is certified in full. A clone shares its engine and maths with cosmetic changes, so it can be assessed against the master.
- RGS (remote gaming server)
- The server that hosts game logic and delivers outcomes to operators' platforms.
- Central monitoring system
- The regulator's system that receives operators' gaming data, often in real time, to supervise the market.
- Transfer of approval
- Reusing existing test evidence in a new market, where the regulator allows it, so only the differences are tested.
- Change management
- The controlled process for updating certified software so that approvals stay valid.
- GLI standards
- Technical standards published by Gaming Laboratories International and used by many regulators, including GLI-11 (gaming devices), GLI-19 (interactive systems) and GLI-33 (event wagering).
- ISO/IEC 17025, 17020 and 17065
- The international standards for testing laboratories, inspection bodies and product certification bodies.
- ISO/IEC 27001
- The international standard for information security management systems.
- ILAC MRA
- The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement, under which signatory accreditation bodies recognise each other's accredited results.
- KENAS
- The Kenya Accreditation Service, Kenya's national accreditation body and a signatory to the ILAC MRA for testing.
- GRA
- The Gambling Regulatory Authority, which regulates gambling in Kenya under the Gambling Control Act 2025.
- Data vault
- A secure, tamper-evident store of gaming transactions kept for the regulator's inspection.
