Overview
Every game result rests on the random number generator. If the RNG is predictable, biased or badly scaled, every game built on it is compromised, however good the maths.
We test the RNG statistically, review how it is seeded and how its output is scaled into game outcomes, and inspect the source code that implements it. One RNG certificate can then support every game that runs on that engine core.
What we test
- Statistical randomness testing of raw and scaled output
- Seeding, reseeding and entropy sources
- Scaling and mapping of numbers to outcomes, without bias
- Cycle length and resistance to prediction
- Source code review of the RNG implementation
- Background cycling and isolation from game logic
- Integrity of the deployed RNG against the certified version
What you submit
- RNG source code and architecture description
- Large samples of raw and scaled output
- Description of seeding and entropy sources
- Deployment and version control information
What you receive
- RNG evaluation report
- RNG certificate supporting games on that core
- Schedule for periodic re-audits
Timeline and pricing
Both depend on the scope of the product and the number of markets. We agree a fixed quote and a timeline at scoping, before any work starts, and you can follow progress throughout.
